We're doin' good. Got permanent custody of my kids.
Their mother unfortunately had an episode in which she took some of her brother's meds along with hers and was clinically dead when the EMTs found her and had suffered brain-damage at least from the lack of oxygen but possibly from the drug interaction. After that she's now in a permanent care facility across town and is non-verbal. It's not the way I would have preferred that story to end, I just have to take some comfort in knowing that her problems are basically over now and it probably won't interfere with our lives anymore.
Anywhoo, there is some good news. Kids are all doing real well. Alex graduates high-school next year. Also we finally got word back from the IRS that we're settled, which means we can finally buy a house. The challenge will be finding a house for 6 people under $65k, which will probably mean we have to move to Toledo, since it's about the only place in the country where we can afford the space we need. But if it means owning a home, I'm all for the move!
I've been working on a new comic hosting site. It's coming along slowly, but it's coming. Hopefully it'll solve some of the problems I have with the existing comic hosting sites. And Woohooligan's doing pretty well. Just finished an 11-page story arc and am getting on to some more gag strips.
How are you and the girlfriend doing? (Sorry, I can't remember her name. D'oh!)
